As mentioned earlier, the activity of melatonin, the hormone that makes our body calm, is completely destroyed by blue light. It is through melatonin that our body’s rest cycle is maintained properly. When this hormone is weakened, the body becomes unable to recognize when it is time to sleep and when it is time to work. Another health hazard caused by the use of cell phones before going to bed at night is that it puts us at risk of cancer. The melatonin hormone, which is limited in the body due to blue light, has a good ability to fight the risk of cancer. Losing it makes us more susceptible to cancer.
