Ethical issues were identified at specific stages of the research when designing and gaining access to the data, during data collection, data processing, and storage, related to analysis and reporting. Ensuring confidentiality and anonymity is important in gaining access to organizations and individuals. Ethical consideration has important implications for the negotiation of access to people and organizations and the collection of data (Saunders et al., n.d.).
The researcher will not reveal the names of the interviewees because the interviews were done to gather data. Furthermore, the researcher does not reveal any personal information about interviewees who provide data to me. They will have their privacy respected. This information was only utilized by the researcher for the study and not for any other purpose. Data confidentiality, on the other hand, will be safeguarded.
Chapter Summary This chapter mainly focused on what is the methodology of the research process. This chapter consisted of research strategy, research design, research choice, population and sampling, collection of data, and data analysis parts. This research was qualitative, and the population was undergraduates from the University of Kelaniya, and a proper sample has been selected using the homogeneous sampling technique. Data was gathered using structured interviews and participant observation and used thematic analysis to analyze data. These are the main methodological parts in the methodology chapter, and the researcher has explained this information deeply within a particular subchapter. This chapter mainly discusses the way the researcher collects data, and the researcher uses this data for the next chapter. The next chapter is data presentation and analysis. Here, the researcher is going to analyze found data using relevant theories and personal experiences. Also, the next chapter is one of the very important chapters because all the key findings are presented there.
